Q: Will I receive a confirmation email?
Yes, you should receive a confirmation email after you are finished registering. Please contact us if you do not.

Q: What is the easiest airport to fly into?
UGA is located 75 miles east of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
Q: Where can I purchase UGA Volleyball merchandise?
We will have a camp store set up during all of our camps with UGA volleyball gear, so be sure to bring some extra spending money!
Q: Do I need to upload a current physical for my camper?
YES! The University of Georgia requires every camper to have a physical on file in order for them to be able to participate in camp. The physical must have been completed within 1 year of the start date of camp and it must have a physician’s signature. If we do not have a valid copy of your camper’s physical, he/she will not be able to check in for camp. We also require parents/guardians to upload a copy of their insurance card in case an emergency hospital visit is necessary.
Q: What form do I upload and where can I upload it?
If you have a physical that is signed by a physician and dated within 1 year of the start date of camp, you can upload the form from the doctor’s office. Alternatively, you can download this form and have your physician sign & date it. Once you have a completed physical form, you can upload it to your Camp Network account (created when you signed up) by logging in here and then clicking Action---Upload Documents. Alternatively, you can also email a copy of the physical to lfreeman@sports.uga.edu. We ask that you upload or send your completed physical or form at least one week prior to the start of camp.
Q: Where do I go to check in?
For commuters/non-residential camps: If entering through the main front doors of the Ramsey Student Center, you will want to walk through the turnstiles at the front desk and take an immediate left down the long hallway with the main weight room on your left. The UGA volleyball offices and volleyball arena are located at the end of this hallway. Don’t hesitate to ask Ramsey Center staff or volleyball camp staff if you get lost!
For residents (overnight camps): You will want to check-in at the dorm first (see next question for details on that location) and then walk across the street to the Ramsey Student Center.
Q: What UGA dormitory will be utilized for the overnight camps?
Building 1516 will be utilized for camp housing this summer. All camper rooms have two beds, two desks, two dressers, two nightstands, and most have a private bathroom with a shower. More information on the building can be found here. Linens will not be provided, so please ensure your overnight camper packs blankets, sheets and a pillow for their stay.

Q: Can I request a roommate for the overnight camps?
Yes! During the online registration process for overnight camps, you will be asked for your roommate request. If you and a friend both request each other, you will have a better chance of being paired up. If you do not request a roommate, we will match you with another camper similar in age.
Q: Can parents watch camp sessions?
Parents are welcome to stay and watch however much of camp they would like – each of the gyms located within the Ramsey Center has a viewing area.
Q: What happens if my child gets hurt? Do you have a trainer in the gym?
There will be an athletic trainer on site that will handle any and all medical needs for the campers. Please be sure to be as detailed as possible when filling out your camper’s medical information during registration so that we may be prepared to manage his/her needs.
Q: What should my camper do if he/she exhibits symptoms of a concussion while at camp?
Please review this PDF on concussion safety prior to attending camp. See our athletic trainer immediately if possible symptoms occur.
Q: Who is watching the campers in the dorms? Will someone walk them over?
Campers are supervised at all times by camp staff members, including walking to and from the gym. Camp staff members will also be on-site at the dorms for the duration of the campers’ stay.
Q: What happens if an overnight camper loses their dorm key and/or access card?
There is a $45 fee for a lost key and a $10 fee for a lost access card.
Q: My child is below the grade range for a camp – can I still sign him/her up?
No, all camps have specific grade/age qualifications. The registration software will not allow you to register someone who does not fall within that range. Any camp with a specific cutoff must be adhered to based on the camper's age and grade. Please contact the Camp Director with additional questions regarding this policy.
Q: What is a commuter?
Commuters participate in overnight camps, but do not receive lodging or breakfast. This means they will need to be dropped off prior to the start of camp each day and picked up after the end of camp each day.
Q: Do I need to purchase the additional $2.99 fee to receive SMS text messages through the registration site?
No, this is optional. Please provide your phone number and the camper's phone number on the registration questions and we will contact you that way if necessary for no additional fee.
